Gas Mileage = what's normal?
Hi, just picked up my brand new 2008 audi TT roadster and am wondering about the mileage... (what's normal, etc). I know the specs, 55L gas tank, highway driving 10.7L/100km.... but I seem to be burning through more than this. What level of RPMs do you guys drive at? I come from 5 speed land, maybe I am driving her too hard?
PS. LOVE THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

who cares, just drive the car and enjoy, my 2.0 gets about 500 - 650, obviously driving hard in the city you will not do as good as highway when on cruise

Re: Gas Mileage = what's normal?
The 6 will use significantly more fuel than the 1.8T or 2.0T 4's. Average consumption across about 5 tank fulls on my 05 TT 225 is 7.8L/100km (according to the read-out). My lowest consumption is at about 3000 rpm, I never use the cruise control. But I can guarantee you it sees the red-line (7000) frequently.

Re: Gas Mileage = what's normal?
I average about 9l/100kms when I fill up with my 1.8T 225Q. That is mixed city/highway driving - with alot of time sitting in traffic. with my 60 litre tank I can get over 600kms per tank.

Re: Gas Mileage = what's normal?
I'm averaging over 11/100km (roughly 460Km's per 52 litre fueling)...90% highway driving...2008 3.2l Quattro... I cruise at 135-140 and push the car pretty hard (love to hear that exhaust note!) car's got about 30000km on it.

Re: Gas Mileage = what's normal?
I found that my 08 3.2 was pretty thirsty for about the first 10,000 and it has now settled down. Driving it back from Colorado it was almost a fill per state. However like Seinsmeld 13 said it is so much fun to drive....
