Default TT console lawsuit

I'm sure every is aware of the problematic TT console and how common it is. a class action settlement in the states is about to be passed where free replacement from six year of diagnosing will be credited or approved where the dealership will replace the console for free as it were an extension of warranty on the item. A similar thing passed in the Uk too.

Welcome.

There are forms on the above web site to fill out and apparently allot of ppl who qualify for the repair or the reimbursement have been mailed the forms, as I have discovered on the below threads on audiforums.com

TT Instrument Cluster Class Action Settlement

Instrument Cluster Lawsuit

My console has failed and I would qualify if I was in the states, I'm going to get a lawyer to look into whether or not this can be applied to Canadians aswell as our American and British counterparts. It really should be because it is the exact same part for every country. Obviously I feel that Audi should fix this, my car has less then 3000 kms on it.

Any one else have anything to say from experience about this?

I have an '02 TT Roadster. 56K on it and I haven't had any problems with the Instrument cluster. The previous owner was a friend of mine, and I don't recall him having any problems either.

Mine had temperature gauge that was off by a few degrees. It was still under warranty so it was replaced last fall. No real help to you.

I too had a failed instrument cluster which needed to be replaced outside of the warranty period. The $1350 cost for parts and labour were shared 25%AOA / 25%Dealer / 50%myself.

This lawsuit in California should certainly set enough of a precedent in terms of Audi taking responsibility for the problem instrument cluster that I would expect them to offer the same settlement deal to Canadians.

I plan to contact AOA in the fall when the lawsuit is settled and request a refund for my out of pocket expenses as per the same guidelines of the US settlement deal. Even the dealer should gets its portion back as well.

If AOA refuses then perhaps it is time to pursue our own class action lawsuit.

I just received a letter from audi offering a extened warrenty on the console! they will replace it reguardless of mileage! This is the best news ive had since I bought my TT. I hope you all recieve your letter for reimbursment. I guess they avioded having a suit here in Canada and just extened the warrenties.
