I bought a 2000 t1.8 Q stock 4 months ago. I'm pretty good with cars and been doing lots of research to try and fix all the neglect that was done to it.
I've done tons of work from great info on here.
Presently the car has
Castrol Syn 0w/30 european form oil
Mann w719/30 filter

I was concerned about possible oil pressure issues with all the possible problems that could, and sure do exist, from past owners not using the right oil / filter during changes.

I installed a 42's design multi oil pressure port mod, with a new pressure sensor "ps-297" and a mechanical oil pressure gauge.

With that I got multiple readings cold and hot at different RPMs which were all with in spec of the multiple posts I researched. Which is great.

With that my main questions are,

1. Could I have any possible issues of sludge build up on the oil pick up pipe / filter screen if my pressure readings are all in spec?

2. Could I still have clogged/ partly clogged pipes flowing to the top of the engine or to the turbo? If so how would I test or prove oil pressure is getting to those points?

3. Was thinking of draining some oil and adding a oil sludge cleaning additive, such as Rislone or AutoRX, that I have seen posted on here. Is that a good idea? Pros / Cons? If so what would be the better additive?
