Default in Need for TT owner's advice

Hey

New to the forum
I am currently in the market for a used TT as a daily driver.
I've come across a 01 TT 1.8 AT with almost 150k miles on it .. but hey i cant say no to the listed price.
i am wondering if anyone can give me some advices or tips that i should look into before i make the purchase.
and the maintenance cost in a long run or perhaps any mechanical problems that may happen or will occur @ around 150k miles.

Any feedbacks will be GREAT help. thanks!
looking forward to be a TT owner sooon!!!

1. Turbos have limited life...check into it
2. If a guage goes, you have to replace instrument cluster. A known problem and expensive. (2,000).
3. Window regulators go...300
4. Timing belt, tensioner and water pump need replacing at the most every 70K miles. So check the last time it was done. If not, you could lose an engine.
Cost is about 1300.

Personally, I would buy a car with lower mileage. It is a great car! Have it checked out if you are serious.
Good Luck!

Hey, welcome to the forum

I personally wouldn't go for it... that's over 200k, then you have to start allocating money towards repairs, which suck...

In the end you're probably cheaper off by getting one with less mileage, as you'd be not only saving money but frustrations as well...
