Headlight replacement to XEON

Re: Headlight replacement to XEON
OEM HID headlights have projectors in them to focus the light where you need it. In a halogen housing, the light will not be projected properly, giving it a wide dispersion, reducing the amount of lumens thrown to where you want them. More importantly, you'll be blinding everyone that drives by you! I've driven in a few cars with them and they're a complete joke - throwing light straight sideways into the ditch, and all over the place. People who know better will also think you're a tool

Re: Headlight replacement to XEON
Point well taken.
I'll stop by my performance part store 2morrow and talk with them. At least now I know a little more what I need and, thanks to you all, know a little more about the subject.
I'de rather talk with a real person for purchasing parts then buying on the Internet (i am so conservative i know).
Thanks for all your input.

One thing to add is that manufacturers used to (about 4-5 years back) put HID in non projector head lights. Lexus IS300, early models of the Infinite G35 and some Volvo models all use HID without projection.
