Haldex Location

Haldex Location
I have tried to search, but I can't seem to get a specific location for the haldex controller.
Mine is shot (giving me a 65535 "I'm Done" code) It is causing the rear wheels to bind sometimes when turning, and the controller is so spotty in operation, that you can hear it turning on and off the rear diff when you turn the ignition on.....
The sound from the back could best be described as a CD changer checking the discs after you put in the magazine...
So I have someone who offered me a great deal on a "new" controller.......But, where's my old one??
Thanks for the help!
Josh

Re: Haldex Location
So I found where it is.....Jacked the car up and climbed underneath...Wow, they should did a good job of tucking it up out of the way
I think this is definately my issue though, as I pulled the fuse for the haldex and it immediately stopped the controller from clicking away, and also stopped the wheels binding when turning...
New Controller time!

Re: Haldex Location
Hi there,
I am very familiar with the TT Haldex system unfortunately
So I can help you with your pain.
1st off the Haldex controller probably is shot.
Here are the choices.
1. Buy new controller from stealer at over 1k
2. Buy new complete differential from stealer 3k( a dealer favorite to fix this!)
3. buy a new Haldex blue performance controller out of HPA 604-598-8520 $800.00 or more
4. buy used diff with everything $1200.00 from most audi wreckers.
Now I have a complete used diff. The controller is good. On this one the precharge pump failed.
I would be willing to ship you the Haldex controller for the cost of freight.
or the controller and clutch pak or the whole thing if you want.
If the controller is all you need pay me a $100.00 when your done installing it and it works and we're good.
I have the other stuff if you need it but I think the controller should kill the problem.
You also need new haldex fluid and you might as well do the filter while your in there.
If you have high kms on the TT you might also want to change out the precharge pump too.
Sorry lots to digest you can pm me with your number and I can tell you more.
Randy.
