Well I moved my TT today. After cleaning up the driveway it won't start. At first the car would fire on a few cyclinders and die. Now it just turns over. I also pulled my ECU the other day to see if I had a solder in chip because my car pulls 17psi. The ecu is the stock part and there is no chip solder in. I'm leaning towards the coil packs or crank position sensor. Any advice? I have a code reader and a bluetooth dongle and PCM-Scan but not Vag-com. There is also no codes according to the check engine light. The only other thing I can think of is that I'm having problems with the immobilizer. But for what its worth it sounds like there is a short under the hood when the ignition is on.

The EPC light comes on when I put the key in and goes off when I try to start fwiw.

I bought a copy of Vag-Com.

Tried it today and I get the same thing. It starts, dies and after about the third time it does not fire and just cranks. I'm leaning towards a bad crank position sensor which is a pit to change. I'll find out for sure when vag-com gets here. for ***** and giggles I checked the fuse panel and everything checks out fine. You can hear the fuel pump so I don't think it's that.
