Cory, you bring up a good point. There is a possibility that the dealership extends the oil change intervals because they are paying for it. I do understand that 7-8k is when the interval should be for oil changes.

He's not going to put you into one of those turbocharged FWD death machines is he? I would try and convince him that his precious offspring should be driving the much safer/larger AWD B8 sedan and he should 'take one for the team' and drive the A3 LOL!!!

Wonder if you would be of the same thinking if your son was of driving age?
