Winston, how much are they charging for labor?

BTW, I haven't got my brakes from ExklusivVR6 on VWVortex, so hold off on purchasing the mirror caps from him.

Mj Auto Wholesale Inc. In maple ridge, BC has super cheap shop hours. I think its around $60 per hour.

I went there to reset my oil service light and had some other work done to my car. Great service the mechanic really knows what he is doing. I will definitely be using them again.

Yes, my 3.0L engine is 120000 kms now.

going to need timing belt service on 130000km to 140000km soon, too.

(since been a lot of cases where 3.0L's timing belt failed before 150000km Factory's Scheduled Maintenance and the repair costs would be over $5000)

anyone has good recommandation shop here on Vancouver area that does this job?

thx!!

I've got the same model, 2002 a4 3.0, and I just had mine done at turner audi here in kelowna for 80 bucks (w/ synthetic), I'm sure if you looked around you could find a dealership to do it for that, have a look around, sometimes they even have specials.

I have actually heard from the audizine forum that its best to get the timing belt done at 100,000 kms. Doesnt the service manual want it done at 120,000....i was going to get mine done as soon as i hit 100,000kms....2004 audi a4 1.8T now at 96,000

Where is a good reliable place in Van to get it done, I was going to goto the dealership, but if i can save substantially and trustingly, i would go somewhere else.

sorry for the thread jacking

Im giong to call both Open Audi and Richmond Audi tomorrow for price quote of timing belt service on 2002 B6 A4 3.0 engine. I'll tell u guys the price I got later.

I talked to one of the OK Tire manager few weeks ago, he told me they do perform timing belt service on my 3.0 engine, he said just bring in the Audi dealer price quote and they will beat the price.
I've got my transmission rebuilt by them, their service and quailty's pretty good, too.

Called Audi Of Richmond Canada

The timing belt service will also replace tensioner, water pump etc. for AVK 3.0L engine.
I was quoted $1500 CAD. I also confirmed with him that if this is the FINAL price. He said yes.
