What's it take to be able to afford an R8?
Lease for 48 months or Finance for 60, and you're looking at around $3000/month, not including gas / insurance.
That's about twice what I pay for my mortgage, which got me thinking, what does it take to be able to afford an R8?
1) Lawyers, doctors, engineers, dentist, architect (although I know there are many lawyers, doctors, engineers, dentists and architects that aren't able to afford one..)
2) International drug smuggler
3) Lottery winner
4) Professional athelete
5) CEO / Executive
What other career paths could I take to be able to afford an R8? I'm still young but want to start planning early..

LOL at this topic!
With sufficient dedication and time, you can make enough money running any kind of business, or in nearly any sales field. Or, you can hope that it depreciates like all other high-end Audis - which I don't think it will - and it's worth $50K in 5-6 years. Take a look at the values of the A8, S8, RS6, RS4, etc. I think the R8 is different, and will hold its value like no other Audi has.

I saw a young kid with his baseball cap on sideways driving one in Winnipeg.
My bet is that there's drug dealing involved there somewhere!
I don't know what he did to the poor car, but it didn't sound good.

It didn't look like it. It was about 10PM that I saw him and he was trying to race with guys on the street.
The car had a loud exhaust on it and it was backfiring - not a happy machine.
