I noticed for the first time this morning that I was getting traffic updates on my NAV system. I first noticed a notice about upcoming construction several KM's down the road and it was listed as one of the points on my route. Secondly I noticed TMC had appeared on the right side of the NAV screen. And the info button showed a list of traffic issues and closures, etc. I did not however see any traffic flow colours on the map.

I drove from Montreal to Toronto today, so I can confirm it worked in both cities.

I did not see any of this before this morning, so I can only assume it just became active. I am still in the first month of my trial subscription and have not had any contact with Sirius Canada or Sirius US.

Anyone else noticing this also?

Ended up seeing all of the colourful traffic flow information on the Gardiner today, and warnings of slow traffic and stop and go traffic ahead on my route.

Nope, I don't see the traffic updates on my map. I'm hooked up to Sirius Canada, are you with Sirius Canada or Sirius US for your subscription?

I'm still on a 3 month trial, no active account with either yet. Just noticed the traffic info pop up the other day. Limited to the Gardiner and the 401.

Thanks. Just reading up on Sirius traffic.... it's available with Sirius US. I'm gonna call the Sirius Canada next week and see if it's available here. If it's not, I'm cancelling my subscription in Canada, and subscribing with Sirius US. Pay in USD, but knowing the traffic in Toronto is worth it!

I didn't really notice it until I started getting warnings, but then realized I saw TMC on the side and pressing the info button shows a list of traffic issues.

Let me know how you make out, I want to keepnthe traffic service after my trial is done, and will activate in the US if I need to.

Sirius service sucks!!! Terrible on both sides (Canada and US). "We are 2 different companies and are both independent". What a bunch of clowns! Different operations but part of the same parent company (why else would their websites refer to the one another)? Both sides ping pong me to the other. Canada definitely doesn't offer traffic at this time. US won't talk to me because I'm in Canada and I need to contact Sirius Canada. Solution.... I may give my ESN number to a friend to sign me up for "Sirius Traffic" only ($4/mth). It should work. Can you tell me how accurate the traffic info is?

I'm on Sirius on a USA account.. never noticed mine change as my commute from 6:30 and im home by 3:30 so traffic is all good at those times. ill keep in mind next time i head to T.O and see. that's for the heads up. might also be a newer map/software in the 2012? either way cool to know!

On my way to Grand Bend this past long weekend, I noticed TMC light up on my NAV. When I pressed the INFO button on the MMI console, it showed details of construction on my route. I was quite surprised to see it as I've never noticed it before.

Not quite sure why it’s started to show now as I haven't had a Sirus subscription for almost a year. I didn't sign up after my 3 month subscription ran out.
