Good point, but you should read the whole thread to understand the context of our conversation. I've maintained a few times that factory looks best, especially on an RS4. I shouldn't say cross platform wheel switching doesn't look good as a blanket statement though...you're right. I'm very much a fun of the OEM+ look though, rather than all modded up. Further if I see an 'R/S4' looking car with non-factory wheels, or cross platform wheels, I immediately question what's under the hood. All too often it's a modded, debadged S-line/USp A4. That's fine, and they look great many times...but as an S4 driver I wouldn't want to change/de-factory what I think is a rock solid car. More so with an RS4 which is already VERY done up and needn't be touched. The stock A4 often needs a bit of modding to really nail the look, but remember...this thread was originally to do with B7 S4 cars...and RS4 cars. NOT B5 S4/A4 or even 1999 A6's with a-market wheels (as shown in your collage).

My apologies if I've crossed an invisible line but I did read the non model specific "Show off your Snows!" title and the whole moved / jacked thread with many posts from non B7 S4 owners, including B5 S4 and TT owners with pics and unsupportive comments from OP about B5's with B7 wheels

Debadging is up to the owner but upmodel rebadging is a huge NO NO in my book!

Agreed with not messing with a modern non turbo S4 and especially RS4, other than perhaps a MTM Supercharger so that it can keep up with a full Stage 3 B5 S4

sounds like you've missed something entirely. The thread (I'm the OP
) went from a request to see B7 S4 cars with winters and quickly morphed into a discussion about one individual's B7 RS4 snow tire options, mostly between myself and that individual. Then you decided to jump in, cite free speech rights??? and wave a banner for B5 drivers, as if slighted, for some reason. Save the eye roll in the future.

Love the look of those rims on Jazz's TT... very similar to OE Avus B5 S4 which also make good winter wheels for some S folks
