Default Gas Smell in my Garage

Hey guys/gals,

I know I have to get the car into the techs, but I just wanted to ask a quick question to see if anyone had an idea.

I have a 2010 A5 2.0T. My garage smells like gas. Not always. It seems, if I drive the car for a few minutes and put it away I get the smell in the garage. Not everytime though. And there is no dripping or visible leaks under the car.

I live in a small town and sometimes, after the car has been sitting for about a half hour, say at a grocery store, I drive it home for 3 minutes and tuck it away in the garage. This seems to be when I get the fuel smell.

Does that sound like something that is wrong with the car, or something I'm doing, or just random?

Just thought I'd open a discussion to see if there is something with the car that people could give me some of their experiences or knowledge.

Thanks!

It sure dosen't sound right to me. Considering that your car is very new, I'd call the dealer.

look around the fuel rails, if an injector is leaking, cracked or an oring is messed it may not be enough to drip right off the motor it may just linger and evaporate.
I just redid my fuel rail and an oring went the next day :-s it was spraying gasoline everywhere. a quarter tank to be exact.
