Free Audi Roadside assistance!
Audi is offering free roadside assistance coverage for 6 months on out of warranty vehicles.
I just heard their ad on the radio; They did this last winter.
You just bring your out of warranty Audi for a free 30-point inspection to get your free roadside coverage for 6 months.

Re: Free Audi Roadside assistance!
Definitely no catch. They offered this same promo last winter and I can assure you it's legit.
all you need to do is go in for a 30-point inspection and you will leave with 6-months of Audi roadside assistance. The only condition is your car needs to be out of warranty.
There used to be another thread on here about this. I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks for the link. The guys on the other forum were asking the same question I was thinking. Do you have to get the work done there when they find something wrong? Apparently not. Although, they were speculating that if you did need a tow, they would only tow to a dealer. That's great for out-of-town, but if I'm in town, I likely wouldn't have it towed to a dealer.

Further, NOBODY passes inspection...they will always find 3-4 things wrong with every car, no matter how pristine. This is in the hopes that they will be able to then scare someone into getting it fixed on the spot.
"sir your rear brakes are out of spec and need new rotors and pads. That's $1,100 on your 2005 A4 3.0. Also 2 of your protective covers on the underside of the car are missing. They can get torn off in snow. They're very important, so we'd advise replacing them. that's $320."
etc.
It's basically a way for them to get you to come in and let them look at your car so they can tell you what's wrong and get it fixed...the roadside assistance is a joke. How much do you think it really costs them to give you that? Probably about $10 per car, when you consider that the grand majority will never use the service, and the few tows they have to give out for free are over tons of people who went for this deal. Not to mention the fact that they just charged you $180 for you to come in and let them then present you with a bill for a grand or more that 80% of Audi owners will just pay.
Why do they want out of warranty vehicles only?
1. labour rates the dealer receives from Audi for warranty work are way lower than what they receive for non-warranty work paid for by customers
2. it's frowned upon by Audi corporate if a dealer network solicits inspections for in warranty cars, as it could cost Audi corporate money that they may never have had to pay if the fault slipped along un-noticed till warranty end.
