Contaminated fuel fuel
Hi - has anyone experienced performance problems since fueling at the Husky at West King Edward and Oak in Vancouver? I filled up with premium on November 26th and had immediate hesitation problems, eventually shutting the card down. Long story short - the gas (?) was around 50% diesel.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Proving it will be impossible unless I can find more people with the same problem. Or else the mechanic at the dealership doesn't know the smell of diesel from the ethanol blend.

Re: Contaminated fuel fuel
There are many places that I would never choose to get gas from including the following gas companies. Any place that sells Citgo brand gas, husky gas stations, and some smaller unknown. I pretty much tend to go with Phillips, Chevron or Shell stations. Depending on the brand of car. Some of them have better luck with certain gas brands.

I've never been there but I have read recently of some issues with silicon contamination of fuel. I'm sorry that you got hit-even when the company admits there was a problem they don't do anything as far as compensation is concerned.

Re: Contaminated fuel fuel
I usually tank up at Sunoco, Shell or Esso... Petro Canada in rare cases...
The closest thing I've had happen was one of my buddies filling up a diesel F-350 Ford with 91 premium and wondering what was wrong with the engine at 375 miles from new...

Wow, I am seriously impressed! I never would have expected this-there are so many ways that they can get out of paying, and let's face it big companies never seem to want to dip into their pockets when they don't have to.
