AUDI engineers are trolls

AUDI engineers are trolls
so this audi i have is probably the last i will own, nothing but stupid electrical gremlin annoying me
today i was driving on the highway, all of a sudden the CEL started flashing and engine started lagging, i panicked and thought it was a timing issue, i pulled over, looked underneath the car and under the hood, it was all good
got back in and started it up, ran fine and light was gone
realized that means a blown coil pack, i just bought new ones like 1000kms ago, not OEM audi ones but aftermarket ones from a reputable seller
i replaced my engine speed sensor and now the starter is a pain to crank over, like it spins but wont engage sometimes.
sometimes the car runs rough, then runs perfectly smooth
just like everything else on this car, its easy to see where the problem is, but getting to it is a pain in the butt.
congratz audi, u have one the car troll awards of all time.

Re: AUDI engineers are trolls
Checklist:
Make sure all coils are working by interchanging them between cylinders.
Make sure all spark plugs are working.
When you interchange them all and all of the above seems to be working but problem is still reoccuring, check or have the following checked: Wiring from battery to coils.
If the problem still hasn't gone away then it's engine related, not electrical. Have a mechanic take a look at the engine. If I'm not mistaken a cylinder pressure test (don't know the exact name of this in English) would help detect the faulty cylinder.
Hope this helps and don't give up hope,
Nick
