Default Audi A3 55K maintenance $650?

Is this correct? I went the dealer for my 55K maintenance and they want $650 to change the Tranny (DSG) and differential oil. I asked the guy how much was in oil, he said around $150 so the rest is in labor? How hard is it to unscrew the drain plug and put it back?

Anyone went through this?

Other question, my A3 2009 lease is almost over and I'm thinking of going for the 2013? Is it available? I'm confused, I read some reviews of the 2013 and they show a different dash but the Dealer insists it's the same as previous years. If I buy in April, am I not getting a 2013? What is different between 2009 and 2013?

It sounds like a ridiculous amount of money for a lube job. Unless you need to drop that transmission to get to the drain plug!

That is accurate, depending on the labour rate of the store. Take the AudiCare for your next car, now you know why

The 55K on a gas A3 is what I call the "spark plug service". The biggest and most labour intensive.

The 2013 A3's are in very very short supply now because it is the buildout year and all of the units are on the ground already, no more to come from the factory until the 2015 comes out. It will be the same dash as in your 2009, btw.

Cheers,
Paul
