2011 A8 - your thoughts?
Recently I went into the dealership to pick up some parts and had a chance to check out the new A8. I was stunned by the luxury and how everything was just so perfect in the car. Earlier the same day I sat in a Bentley Coupe and I would take the A8. My only complaint is that it didn't look like it was worth $141,000 from the outside but oh boy from the inside it was fantastic.

I think it's ridiculous! Cars are for driving, and while I'm sure the A8 is stunning to drive, if you can't make a good driver for less than $140,000 then stop putting flat screen TV's, driver distracting navi's and all that other crap in the car. Not to mention that the thing is probably a huge gas hog.
I have owned Audi's for over a decade, but now there is maybe one I would buy new (A5 2.0T w manual). Cut the crap Audi, go back to making cars that people can drive. The new TT should have a manual option, and an option to NOT have all the crap including a/c which I would pay extra to not have, and don't get me started on their heating system that is ridiculously complicated. Why not have a simple dial to set temp and a dial to set fan speed. I really hate the heating system in my TT. Simplicity can be elegant. No new Audi for me until they start making real cars again!

Problem being that most wealthy Canadian drive their own car, so having that kinda backseat is a waste. Not sure how the A8 drives, but the interior is definitely one of the best in the market, much better than those in 7 series and even Mercedes S.

I drive my wife to work each day in my A8 beasty. She sits up front with me of course, but think I'd lose out to that (2011 A back seat if I got it! Think she'd get me a black hat and white gloves to make up for it though
Think that's the same make, model, options as car Pfaff Tuning upgraded a bit a few months ago. I sat in front and back seats and couldn't decide where I wanted to be!!!! Wonder how it handles?

Off topic, but you do know that you can pull your A/C and run a shorter belt, right? That's all Audi would do for a factory delete. You'll have to pull the front end off, but an A/C delete is not an overly complicated job. Nice weight savings too, and right off the nose where our cars need it
