Default HID recommendations?

Posted this already in another forum, new to the site so didn't scroll down far enough to see this one hehe.

So I just picked up my 04 A4, and the only thing its missing is the xenon lighting package...

That being said, could anyone recommend a good kit?

I would not recommend an HID kit as defined by those sold on ebay where the bulbs are cheaply made D2S capsules mounted on halogen bases. Your best bet would be to retrofit a real Hella or Bosch projector and ballast assembly into your existing housing. Go to HID Planet dot com and browse the forums. HID Planet also sells new genuine A6 and Porsche HID components individually as well as a complete package.

I see that I can get my HIDs with 35 Watts of power or with 50 Watts of power. Can anyone tell me the difference between them.

Well, the 50W one would be brighter. The colours would however be the same if you pick the same temperature.

stock HID is 35W, 4300K. I bought a set off e-bay a few years back from a seller in toronto for $75 shipped. They still work good as new. I put 6000k in the wifes car, and some things are hard to see as the light is very blue, useless when it is snowing as you get blinded. Some Audi's have issues with relays burning out. Safe bet would be to stick with 35W. If you want more light get HID high beams too.
