2010 Rieger Kit

2010 Rieger Kit
Just bought an 2010 S5 Reiger front spoiler, side-rails and rear valence, can't say I am too impressed. You'd think if they were going to design a kit for a 75K car it would be an upgrade from stock - I think it will make the car look cheap.
I thought the kit looked good, as I did study pics and briefly saw one in Vancouver - along with the fact that I was told that it was designed to be removable for leased cars made me want to get the works.
The stock S5 rear valence looks way better then the Rieger valence - the exhaust holes and grill work looks cheap. The S5 rear spoiler has more class.
The side-rails are nice but make the S5 look like a NASCAR contestant. Also you would have to remove the stock stone guards which are not removable without breaking them and the clips (Audi Shop Manual)
The front spoiler is cool - exaggerated "cow-catcher" but it covers the lower grill work and the fender-sides are rounded whereas the S5 fender-sides are concaved (? WTF!!!). I would like to take it to a body-shop and have it modified to open the lower grill up and shorten the sides but then they would have to be permanently fibreglassed into the stock front end. Reiger use to sell a two piece kit which would likely be more suitable.
I will likely return the kit at a 50% loss or convince some poor bastard to buy it from me.... only $1500 CAN (Phantom Black)
