Default Need advice from members on a Dealer Issue

Guys
This is the situation I find myself in
I purchased a used A4 2.0T Certified Pre Owned from UpTown Audi in Markham, On. in Feb 2008 for $30,000
After recently trying to trade it in at anotther dealer I find that the car had an accident in 2006 with an estmate of $7,000 and actual insurance payout of $14,000. It was never disclosed by the dealer (I would never have bought the car) in addition I have the CPO documentation that indicates a car can't be certified without the carfax report.
So they obviously knew it had an accident or sold me a car that did not meet CPO quaifications
I now find myself fighting themn to make this right.
My question to the group is what would make this right in your eyes and what should I do

I have purchased 3 cars from them (1 A4 and 2 A6) and have done all my service with them

They want to pay me the diference between what my car would be worth today without the accident. I call foul because that would be less than the difference between a $30,000 (which I paid) with no accident and that same car with an accident of $14,000
I see it as I paid way too much for a car because they didn t disclose the accident or the car was not CPO

I am fighting now with them and would like some help
I wanted $5,000 and was going to settle for $4,000 but am willing to let the lawyers fight it out as I feel I am in the right here

Comments?
Much appreciated by the way

Does the car drive ok? Until you discovered that you got shafted were you happy with the car? I'm no expert on Audi's CPO policy and I can't really comment on that. But when it comes to used cars dealerships are not required to disclose if a car is a Accident rebuild, salvage ect. It's in there best interest though. They are also not required to provide a copy of the sales package unlike a private used car sale. Best advice I have is next time look for respray, weld marks and other indicators of repairs. The other give away is the ownership will be branded if it has been in a accident and reported. Buying a car with a clean title does not mean is has not been in a accident. Sorry for you luck, but I think your trying to get blood from a stone.

Thanks for the comments.
Audi's actual policy is to disclose if the car has been in an accident.
The CPO policy (as stated right on the documents) is a car cannot be enrolled in the certified pre owned program without a Carfax report having been run which would have detailed any accidents or Liens against the vehicle

According to my old man used car dealers have to disclose this information. But like anything else get it in writing. Without a written contract saying you were not informed it's a he said she said. If it makes you feel better my TT has a AWP head not a ATC like it should have. Someone did a head swap for some reason.
