the montreal audi club
what is the montreal audi club:
we gather to share the opinion, thoughts and knowledge we have on the cars we love.
We encourage a respectful, friendly and stress free atmosphere.
We are not there to work on other people cars and be hassled with questions.
meets
for now the winter meets will be on a monthly basis.
meaning that every meet is scheduled on every last monday of the month.
oct 26 09, nov 30th 09, dec 28th 09 and so on.
the club decided to do the meetings on a monday because during the winter
everybody time table is messed up and moving it wont resolve the date issue.
Keep in mind that if you cant be there now, they will be many many
many many more meets to come, after all the club is only two weeks old!
events
to start off the events will be short, so that everyone gets a chance to make it.
****quick idea off my head: they can be different degrees of participation in each event.
-first degree would be club meet & ride...
-second degree would be to add a group dinner...
-third would be to go out for a drink, movies, etc...
logo
on the upcoming meets the club will decide on a logo.
i “joeporto” was encouraged by other members to do the club emblem but anyone
with talent and ideas is more then welcome to the same and present it at the club during the meeting.
Making the club’s official flyer, decals and merchandise will be the next step.
Everything made for the well being and growth of the club must be presented during the club’s meet for
feedback/input and decided/voted together for it to be official.
And by doing so we can keep the club on the right track.
The club is young so we need you to bring ideas, concepts and input to the club and present it.
So as a club member what can you bring to the club?
I would really like to have everyone in and around the Montreal area
join the club. The bigger the club the more fun it gets!
If you haven't received an invitation I'll be more then happy to provide you one.

Ok Montreal,so the montreal audi club now has a facebook fan page.
this is a big plus for are club because all members regardless of which
forum your on, can join so that we form one group.... and not all forum have a
groups/club section to which you can join, in effect this will widen are web.
this is a closed group meaning that you need to ask for a invite.
facebook offers a brilliant messaging service unlike the forums we use.
from now on all posts, discussion, photos, poles, events, news and club update messages
are available to only members who join the club on are facebook fan page.
i wish to have you all join the group since this is a reliable and free service that offers
great advantages and communication for us all, so we must take advantage of it.
if i dont have your email address and you have not received a invite via email,
to join the club on facebook, log into your account and type "the montreal audi club"
in facebook's search engine.
it will automatically show on your screen and then ask to be invited.

Monday meet was great, participation was great.
thank you to everyone who showed up.
new meeting location.
everyone who was there realised that press cafe may not be the best location
for are winter meets due to the fact that it's not a very big cafe plus
finding a table and chair to site all of us was hectic so we definitely need a new meeting location.
we are presently debating are options who are restaurant or underground car parking.
upcoming event.
we have a meet in December scheduled for the 28th.
this will be are last meet of the year so this special occasion calls for a event.
we will all go eat at the kirin, which is a chinese buffet.
the kirin has a nice atmosphere and serves good food at reasonable prices.
they are located on avenue panama at Brossard, it's real easy access for everyone.
the 28th is during christmas vacations so everyone should be off work and
we will be past the shopping rush and family gatherings.
i will need to know who wants to go so i can make reservations in advance.
i will soon p.m. everyone to the word and ask who is interested in joining us.

during the meet i presented a logo and i made poll for the colour of the decal, obviously
black and white where the favorite.
i got a good deal on good quality t-shirts and print but we also have
francois and vince aka deucescorner who are offering there service for the t-shirts making.
francois will work the logo voted a the meet so it can be embroidered and he will make a model for testing.
about the decals, are good friend vince offered to take care of getting the vinyl decal made.
he also offered to use his artistic talent and make a new logo,
he will be creating three different versions that will be presented for use to vote.
he also offered to get the t-shirts printed and in exchange of his work
he wants his company logo to be placed on it somewhere discreet.
this is a fair deal, so i accepted because this might encourage other members
to do the same and offer there service in exchange of possibility of free advertising.

i will keep are monthly meets on monday and for a number of reasons i have decided
that from now on it is in are best interest to meet at mcd's in the marcher central complex on boul l'acadie.
this club is set on a good path and i'm pleased to see members participating seriously,
doing there share and getting involved.
i will bring a new format to are club meets in order to reward are team players who
have been showing up and consequently keeping this audi club alive and possible.
foe the upcoming november 30th meet, i want as many members as possible and i want to know who will be there.
next meet is monday 30th of november at mcd's in the marcher central
