Looking to buy a 08 Audi TT. Few Q's.
Hi guys.
I am new here and am looking to join the crowd of other fellow TT'ers.
I have a few questions that i'd like others to answer based on experience and their knowledge.
1. Is it ok to purchase a TT with higher km's eg. (85,000 - 93,000km)?
2. Is it safe to buy a TT that came from Quebec/Montreal area?
3. What should I look out for when checking the car out on the lot to spot anything suspicious ?
Price range for the higher km car at an Audi dealer I am seeing is roughly $36,900 for the mentioned range mileage.
Let me know your thoughts..
Thanks!

Your questions are rather subjective - it's 'okay' for some people to buy auction beaters, and some people will pay a premium for a brand-new cars every 2 years to not have to worry about mechanical issues. You really can only ask these questions of yourself.
That said, a vehicle's condition is based entirely on its inherent engineering and build quality, and its owner(s). In my opinion, the most important thing when shopping for a used vehicle is evaluating the previous owner(s). I try to only buy my used vehicles from knowledgeable car enthusiasts that know how to care for finicky German machines You may want to also take into account that QC has a high amount of curb-siders, and I think the Montreal area uses salt in Winters (not that it will matter too much on a relatively new vehicle).
Short of actually getting underneath the car, and scanning it with a VAG-Com after a spirited drive, there's not much you can do to evaluate the condition of a modern vehicle. Of course, there's nothing stopping you from doing both of those things.
