Default Best Place to get Tune up in GTA

Hi,

I was wondering where you guys get tuneups in the GTA and how much money I am looking at?

looking at regular tuneup: spark plugs, cap, rotor, ignition coils, ignition wires

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Please refer to the thread (started by myself) titled "Audi Shop Referrals".
There will be plenty of info there and you will most likely get your questions answered pretty quickly because of the amount of activity on that thread

Hi,

Yes I am aware of that thread but I am just wondering what an average price is for a tuneup... Also other than a tune up I am changing the fuel filter and o2 sensors... is there anything else I should get done?

Thanks

Tranny flush for sure.
Has the timing belt and water pump been changed? i believe it's suggested to do it at 80,000 kms, and both should be changed at the same time otherwise you'll be paying out the **** to do it twice.

Timing belt at 80,000 miles not km's...which translates to 128k but like most ppl be safe and do it 10k before that.

Really? Because I've had all sorts of people tell me it's at about 80,000 KMS not miles.
My boyfriend and myself had both our S4's done then.
Hmmm
I've never heard anyone say to go OVER the 100,000km mark.

Just changing the Audi timing belt isn't enough. Why? Most Audi timing belt failures can be caused by worn timing belt tensioners and idlers. If you just replace the Audi timing belt, a thousand miles later it can fail due to a worn timing belt tensioner, idler or roller and still cause major engine damage. Not replacing ALL Audi timing belt components can be very dangerous. This is because the Audi timing belt tensioner pulleys or rollers may visually appear to be fine, but may actually be near or at the end of their service life. That is why the Audi timing belt tensioner and idlers should always be replaced when installing a new timing belt. Skipping their replacement is a hazardous choice. This probability is also the reason why some Audi mechanics recommend performing the Audi timing belt replacement before 60,000 miles instead of 90,000 miles.
So they say BEFORE 60,000 miles, which translates to about 96,000 kms. So for fun I would say, at the most, around 90,000 kms lol. Which I thought was about right. I knew it was definitely BEFORE 100,000 kms and also know I treat my car like a baby and do everything a tad bit sooner than recommended, but before 96,000 kms, 80,000 kms sounds perfect to me!

Hope that helps

Independant Tuning FTW. I don't even live in T.O. and prefer to get my service done by them. Aside from competitive pricing, they know truly know VAG cars and don't charge extra for common sense stuff when they're already there (ie: they're already under your car or hood so multi point inspections are included ...).

Call Bryan or Mark and tell them I sent ya ...

Cheers!
