Audi Uptown - Funny Guys
Okay, I can not resist and post.
I already had my experience with Audi Uptown (see here: https://www.audiforum.ca/audi-a4/436...t-did-you.html). I thought to give them another chance and went in to ask a simple question and see if they can shed some light and help. I thought.. hey, maybe I can bring my car to their place for inspection....
Okay, so I go to one of their desk and ask my question.... "please wait a second" I am waiting, waiting, waiting... 10-15 minutes... obviously the only person who can help is busy.... yes, I am told that he is busy.... hmmm... no one else? Really? Are you serious? I saw dozens of people sitting/running around. I guess they are doing so well that they do not need to help when someone just has a question. Hello?!?! Nobody interested in future business?
They are indeed funny guys -> And that means for sure no business from me in the near future.
Cheers

Re: Audi Uptown - Funny Guys
I'm done with Uptown.
I did visit them for a few service appointments and they dissapointed me almost each time.
The last time, I asked the service guy to get someone to do a visual inspection and a quote, he said "just a minute" then proceeded to talk to his seemingly long lost friend while I waited for 25 minutes...watching him.
I just left without saying a word then wrote a letter to Audi Canada about it. I did not mention names...but I'm sure they got the point. Uptown sucks on service!
Queensway and Pfaff are the best imo.

lol!! i brought in my car for the coilpack failure issue, and the first person i went to talk to is the service representative. First thing that the service rep said was "we are fully booked today, but we have open spots available tomorrow.. how about you come back tmrw?" And i responded, "look dude, my car is misfiring due to the coilpack failure.. you want me to limp home with 3 cylinders and come back tomorrow? are you mad?"
He then replied "Well, theres nothing I can do for you sir"
I said " Dude, it literally takes ****ing 5-10 minutes to replace 4 ignition coils... how ****ing busy are you guys?" (He thought I was from another planet when i told him this.... like are you stupid or soemthing?)
Service rep says "Theres alot of paper work involved, check for the code, alot of work has to be done and it cannot be done in 5-10 minutes "
I said "Listen, get me your service manager, at least I can talk some sense to someone who knows what he is talking about. If you guys are TOO busy do plug and play the coilpacks.. just give me the coilpacks and I'll do it myself so it saves u guys the trouble and time"
He goes in the back, 2 minutes later... he says " Okay we'll do it"
took them 1 hr and 45 minutes to do the problem and then wooo my baby is back in my hands.
thats my story of the Audi Uptown ~_~ lol

Re: Audi Uptown - Funny Guys
Speaking of Uptown, here are a few experience I had with them.
1. Took in my 2004 A4 Avant for service, they said the two rear tires should be replaced. That's fine but they try telling me I need to pay $200 for alignment. I was like, screw that, I went and took it to Car House and got the tires replaced, all four balanced.
2. I went looking to see the S4. I walked in with my gf (ok, I do look a bit younger than my age, but I was driving a 530xi...) and the first guy saw us, didn't even greet us (he was a sales person). So then I proceed to walk around, didn't even see a car of interest ( I wanted to see TT, A5 and S4) and all I got to see was the TT, so I sat in it, then got out. He finally approaches me, and said (in Chinese) "well, you are here anyways, I might as well show you".
That's fine, we went over there, FIRST LINE out of his mouth "so...are you just playing around or are you really looking at a car?" My gf was so pissed and wanted to walk out, I was in a good mood and didn't want to let it bother me, so I just said "I need a car end of April" then he started showing me prices. Then half way through, some other client was walking by, he just said "wait a min" and walks off to speak to the other guy. At this point, my gf is once again telling me to leave but I figure I might as well get the prices and some basic details. He called me a few days later, like I am going to buy from him after that kind of service.
I found out later this guy just got fired few months ago by BMW Autohaus, go figures.

hahaha fml. i went in again today for some sensor issues, and found that my wiring was cut and they showed me it.. i told htem that no way in hell that anyone other than my mechanic (did the oil change 2 months ago) would cut it. I was told then i either need to have some modified wiring or replace all the wiring throughout the whole car.
He gave me a price of 260 labor and parts included to fix it. so i said okay... then they asked if i did the maintenance for the car.. i said not yet ... they said well since ur over the mileage of hte car, you should and i said alright.
couple of hrs later... oh we dont have the time to do the service maintenance but we did the oil change for you. i was like...uhh wtf? so am i gonna get charged 500 bucks for the oil change on top of the wiring issue of 260?
issue will resolve on monday =(
