Audi Customer Relations - Useless

Audi Customer Relations - Useless
If you have an issue with your car. Don't bother wasting your time with Audi customer assistance.
The canned answer you will get is, "Visit your nearest dealership..."
No matter what the issues are, same answer.

Yeah I understand your fusturation with this. My father as a 2009 A3 and teh Mech unit decided it was going to go and we took it to the VW dealer in town (we don't have a Audi Dealer) and they originally told us that there was no problem then my dad took it back a second time after driving it for about 100kms and the service manager actually took it out for a drive and said yeah something is wrong. So at that time the long drawn out process started. Audi wanted to take the transmission apart and check to see if there was play in the shaft and they said if it is ok then we had to pay for it to be put back together
So my dad said ok. beacuse I had done so much research on the mech unit that we were 100% sure it was no good and sure enought audi ended up paying for the mech unit and all the labour.
That only took about 3 weeks for the car to be in the shop and about 3 months on the phone trying to get audi to even admit there is a problem.

"I had two simple questions for customer care:
1) Has my car been through the oil consumption test in the past (purchased used)?
2) Why does the MMI oil level reading keep saying "please wait for at least 2 min...warm engine, turn off engine" only happened just after I had opened and closed the oil lid. Now no longer reads oil levels.
Standard answer for both question was: "please visit your closest dealership". This seems to be the standard answer for every question. Perhaps there is no need for customer care. A simple page on you website with "Please contact your closest dealership for any issues." would save lots of time, money, and aggravation for everyone - Audi included.
"Customer Care" should then be renamed to "Customer We Don't Care, You've Already bought the Car, It's your problem now."
Thanks for caring. "

Re: Audi Customer Relations - Useless
I have delt with 3 different Audi dealers and one VW and i think by far the best I have dealt with is Pfaff Audi in Vaughan. They were very helpful got me what I needed right away although I have not had any experience with labour issues at this location.
I also do almost all repairs myself out of my own garage and if I do need major things done I know people that can give a helping hand ( Four Star Motorsports: )

That's why companies like Bell and Rogers and new car dealers are so terrible to owners/users of their service. They know each and every day brings more and more customers no matter how badly they treat the current flock.
