Anyone want to go to the dragstrip (Cayuga-TMP) this Saturday?
I'm fixing to go. Supposed to be like 11 degrees and pretty nice out. Not many days left.
$30 per car...'test and tune' which means anyone is free to come out and get as many runs in as they want from 11am to 4pm. I went last Sunday and it was dead quiet...only about 30 cars there all day. I got 8 runs in over 1hr...and could have had about 30 if I wanted.
The track is about 45 minutes from Oakville...
Post up or PM/email if you want to go. I will probably go, and I'll bring my camera (point and shoot) to film my runs.
For those intimidated by the thought of going, last week there were a couple of wagons that ran in the 15 second range...and even a 95 Lumina that must have run like 17 so no pressure....it's just a fun time. There were also a trio of C6 Z06/ZR1 vettes...and a couple of 8 second Civics, so it's a mixed bag. Everyone's pretty cool and is just there to do their own thing, no judgement.
If you run faster than like 13.5-13.6 they'll ask you to wear a helmet (that'll require about 300hp+ for most cars)

so no other Audis there....just me, a Ford GT, a million hp Civic, a fast foxbody, a couple of pickups and a few vette guys. Awesome conditions except a little wind in the face which hurts.

This was test and tune, not bracket racing. Reaction time means nothing. ET clocks don't start till you go. If you were racing against someone for ET+RT, sure RT would matter. But I wasn't.
If you know what that means, you'll know why your post makes no sense.
If you noticed I was racing against NOBODY (right lane 0), you'd also know why you make no sense.
If you don't know what any of this means, maybe you should read a little before saying WTF.
Thanks for posting! lol

I went again on Saturday. Got 10 passes in, over about 2 hrs.
Got ET down to 13.2 and got the MPH over 107. Track's closed for the season now
