2002 audi tt coupe alms eddition 225 hp guattro

i have a 2002 audi tt that keeps over heating on me wen i am stopd at a stop light or on idle in the drive way. i was told to replace the fan control module.. any suggestions on what it might b causing the problem or if it is the fan controll module wer i might go about getting a diagram on what plug it is and how to take it out. i would greatly apreciate any help i can get..
