Default Winter Tire Recommendations?

Looking for suggestions on winter tires for my car, 255/35/19.

Anyone have experience on tires that have been good on ice and snow as I live in Edmonton. Thanks.

I only have good comments for my Pirelli Scorpion Winters for both sow and ice but I drive an SUV (19" as well but 235 R19s).

I live in Calgary, bought wheelset with Bridgestone Blizzak PM60 from Tirerack in October last year. Size 265/35/19 for S6. So glad I did as this Alberta winter has so much snow. Have not been on the highway yet but I trust Bridgestne and use their tires for years.

I'm a big fan of the Blizzaks. Truth be told, any reputable tire company puts out a decent winter tire. The Nokians are probably the most touted, but you'll be fine with a Goodyear, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin…etc.

I spend a considerable amount of time reading user reviews on the Tirerack.com website. I like to find people with the same car and see what they say.

+1 for Blizzak, they've kept me safe on the qe2 for a few winters. I ran them on my 335xi (225) and now on my sq5 (255) and I have never had a problem with them.

I get mine from ecuprogram in Calgary, often they're just a bit cheaper than tire rack when you factor in shipping and duty.

I have never heard of ecuprogram. Is it a brick and mortar shop? I have a hard time paying the CDN mark-up even with the fact the shipping/duty can add up. There's just something about it that doesn't sit well with me. But, I am interested to learn more.
