Hello all,

I have a 2005 audi A8L, my battery is dead, key is locked in the ignition. I have bags in the trunk so I cannot access through my ski holder. Please help. Thank you

How is the key locked? Is it an advanced key that pops into the dash?

No its not a advance key its a 05. I tried to take it out but no luck at all.

Maybe your steering wheel is locked, try shifting the steering wheel left and right while you try to pull the key out. DO it carefully so you dont break the key.

I once had an issue with an old Chrysler LHS. The ignition locked as it would if the steering wheels was locked, but the steering wheel wasn't. It took me about 5 hours to figure out how to get the stupid key out.

If your wheel isn't locked turn it one way until it DOES lock. Once it is locked follow what 1move said and hold it in either direction and try to take the key out.

Thanks for all the help, I still need to get inside the trunk. I was reading that I can use a 9v battery 2 wires and olace it in the the number 3 fuse. Has anyone heard of this before?

Does anyone know what side the the trunk fuse is on for this year ans model?

I personally wouldn't put any battery into a fuse jack. You could potentially mess up a lot of stuff. You should just hook your battery up to another car to give it enough of a charge to use the electric switch.
