Victoria To Calgary 09/23/10 - 09/27/10
Hello Calgary, I was raised in Calgary, grew up in Parkland in the S.E., then moved to Evergreen Estates when it was first developed. Went to Dr. E.P. Scarlett!! R.T. Alderman Jr.....lol.....I have lived in Victoria since the mid 90's, sisters still live in Calgary and i'm coming out the night of the 23rd for the weekend, don't know if i'm going to have allot of free time, but would love to know that I could call on someone if my car has any problems??? My mechanic and I have been fighting with a code.....It keeps coming up with "secondary air injection..incorrect flow"?? There is more to it than what I can explain on here, we've got the code cleared for now, doesn't effect the driveability of the car. Sorry for the life story before the info, but I'm curious to know if I might actually know one of you from when I used to live in Calgary???? My name is Cameron Sorensen......If you know my sisters, don't say anything that i'm coming out, it's a surprise.....Thanks!

Well, i'm back from Calgary with no car and a sore back......I was on 22x just before 24th st near Spruce Meadows and then WHAM!!!! Bambi's mother kissed my car.....The car sits at Boyd's on 114th and 29th? Not far from Deerfoot Casino. It looks like they are going to write it off, not sure yet. I was 20 min away from my destination, it happened Friday morning about 6 am. I was in the slow lane and I saw 2 deer, the baby deer jumped our first and missed me, then the mother deer jumped out and hit me. The deer flew clear of the fast lane and landed on the ditch line and slid for about 15 ft. I've got pictures of the blood slide going from the ditch line(side of the highway) into the ditch, the body of the deer was intact. I sliced her left side wide open and her guts were out in about 3 or 4 pieces.

That is some seriously bad news, the damage doesn't look too bad, I am guessing mechanically, the rad support is toast, then hood and front fender, looks like the bumper escaped mostly

It is drivable, but lost all the coolant.... The baby deer ran off somewhere? I never hit the baby deer, just the adult one..... I've got some back pain but other than that, no one was injured. I will keep you posted as I find out....
