I do my own service, but do buy parts at Royal Oak. I have never had an issue, perhaps you ran into a mechanic on a bad day. I hope things work out for the best.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately it is not just the mechanic. It is the Service Manager who bluntly refused to help and the General Manager who also refused to look into the matter. Audi HQ gave me the money as a good will gesture, but that doesn't do me justice. It is in a way OK to have a mechanic who has a bad day that messes up your car, as they are human. but it is not OK that it is not remedied at a senior level. The fact that they just ignored me showed their arrogance. It is like saying, 'Yes, we messed you up, so what!'.

100% agree with you, I have worked in a service industry of one kind or another for my entire adult life, I am still shocked that at a senior level within the dealership it was not handled better. Thanks for the input and posts

Yea, that suck's sometimes these people at dealerships are just weird. I have always had good service but when they told me I needed an $800 dollar service I was like what is involved. They said spark plugs and cabin filter. I said like $80 for plugs and $60 for the good cabin filter? $650 forrrr wwhhat? plugs take max 2 hrs for me to change. I have very little experience. You are right how many people just pay with no questions asked.
