Default Fuel Injection Cleaner

I put a Fuel Injection Cleaner in the car then while driving the car engine just stopped and won't start anymore. What should I do?

A major problem with fuel injector cleaners available in the market is that they are quite concentrated. It can erode the rubber and plastic components inside the fuel pump, fuel lines and regulators. Also if your injectors were severely clogged, the solvent may not be able to pass through, even in a normal cleaning cycle.

What was the fuel level in you car at the time? Did you read the lavel directions regarding how many gallons of gas to mix it with?

Using injector cleaner with a low tank level may cause the solvents and detergents to loosen up sediment and end up clogging the injectors defeating the process altogether.

I don't have an answer for you on this with the little info provided. Keep us informed as to the results.

Thanks for your reply. I have half-tank in my fuel.
In the direction, it didn't mentioned about fuel level.
Any solution on this? Should I fill up my fuel tank now?

I think filling up the tank is a good place to start. At the very least you will dilute the cleaning solution. If you still haven't been able to start the car then it looks like you will have to take it in somewhere. Check with some of the Calgary Club members. They might have some suggestions or recommend a shop.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

I don't think that injector cleaner caused a complete failure, the only way that is possible is if the fuel pump took a ****. You need to chekc things like the fuel pump output on crank, pull codes with vag/com.
