Angry Radio dead, lit up red 2003 A4

I got into my car the other morning and the radio was unresponsive, it was just lit up red. It doesn't have the option to put a code in, it just remains red even when the car is off. I disconnected the battery, and put the terminals together with an extension for 10 minutes but that didn't help, it just made my keyless entry stop working. I am driving back to NY in a week and would really like to fix it before then. I'm looking to get the removal keys to pull the radio and check the fuse behind it. Just wondering if there was anything else I should try. Also if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix my keyless entry. Thanks!

it happened to me many moons back. i just found the fuse, removed it for a minute or two, then popped it back in. since then, no issues.

though if you already disconnected the battery, i think that would have done the same thing.
