I have a 2007 S6 and have waited a year for the Audi iPod adapter. They want $1700 plus my first born child to install it, so I politely declined. I've found an installer in the Seattle area who says the the referenced unit works well and you don't lose the CD. Anyone with any experience with this unit in a 2007 A6/S6?

The dension pieces work really well with the mmi system. We install alot of these units and we have nevr had anyone sya anything negative.

Any suggestons for something that is less expensive but works well with the MMI? I'd be willing to give up the CD changer.

i also posted an inquiry about the dension system in the a3 forum. any idea if this will work with the 2009s? i'm disappointed that audi removed the ipod integration option entirely.
