Default B7 S4 HU in B6 1.8t?

yeah, that's a lot of letters...

i saw some pics on a4mods.com of what appears to be a B6 with RS4 steering wheel and - of more interest to me - an upgraded stereo...

:: a4mods.com :: - The Premiere Audi A4 Modification Guide and Library (it's some of the first couple of pics)

seeing as i'm new to the land of the 4 rings, can anyone tell me what exactly it would take to a) get that head unit (where would i find it, estimated $), and b) swap it into my 02 A4 Avant (currently has the base stereo).

thanks muchly!

Both the B7 "symphony II+" and the Navigation (RNS-E) HUs will fit a B6. The S II+ is like the Symphony II except the LCD is bigger due to the lack of a tape deck, and plays MP3 CDs. The RNS-E does navigation and bluetooth and has SD slots for MP3s, etc. etc. Note however that it's not plug and play. The wiring is different and so it requires some modification. However it's well documented and the parts you need are available. Here is everything you need to get started.

Navigation Forum - Audi RNS-E | VW RNS 510

SII+ can be had for $300 on eBay. RNS-Es are < $1000.
