Your response, kind of suggest that we should be supporting our local economy. Yes we should, but does that mean that we should be paying in excess of 20K on a S4, or Volvo C70?

hi gang...I'm a newbie so bear with me.

I just imported an 07 S4 Avant via a local Vancouver dealer (non-Audi) and its licensed and on the road with simply the code change to use fog lights a daytime runners. It was acceptable under RIV website. Just FYI.

I do have a question for Black_RS4....as below - what is the MFA???

To change from Miles to KM, use the menu on your MFA and change it right there.

Your '07 Audi S4 AFAIK is admissible ...

As for MFA that stands for Multi Funktion Anzeige - The display between the Speedo and RPM dial really ...

You can control the options for this display and that of your AirCo with the wiper control stalk.

just for everyone's information: I just stopped by my local (Vancouver) Audi dealer and they seemed happy to register my 07 S4 's warranty here locally so that was a relief.

The service manager commented they are getting 'quite a few cars coming up'

Interesting, and thanks for the heads up.

My local dealer was not committing to carrying the warranty and maintenance plan over ( still have 2 years left ) ... even though the manual says that it is valid in the US and Canada ...

I will do some poking and prodding ...

I checked the Riv website on the weekend and they have done some updating to the list... They also say on the website that their list may/may not be accurate... kinda defeats the purpose of having a list, doesn't it?

Anyways, theres definitely changes to which S4's are allowed in...

The list mentions 2001 and 2002 S4's as being inadmissible but doesn't say anything about the wagon version. Elsewhere in the list they specifically mention wagons. Is this to be interpretted as the 01/02 wagons being admissible?
