I'm sure its an amazing car, but does anyone think its worth $100,000

Heck, if I had that kind of money and wanted a high performance Audi I'd spend the extra $15,000 and get the RS6...

Hmmm ... how do you define worth it ?? The smaller 4 has got to be more nimble and certainly as exclusive if not moreso than the 6. The 6 obviously will provide a little more style for a night on the town with friends and more space for that road trip .... I think I'd need to have one of each.

105K including Nav plus 17% taxes. Don't forget that too.

I have heard that there are only 80 cars coming into Canada. So it is prestigious plus high performance. Only thing is that we wont be getting the European seat and steering wheel.

Price for the initial batch coming to Canada, before taxes and all other dealer costs, is about $96K. We don't have the European seats and steering wheel due to these 'components' not tested in a head on collision and for the low number of RS4s being sold in North America, it didn't make sense for Audi financially to recertify the car.

I do know that Audi, when developing new models, will have their cars meet the toughest crash testing requirements (from bumper crash requirements which are tough in Canada to minimizing injury to pedestrians when being mowed over in Europe, etc.). So hopefully in the future, North America buyers don't miss out on these other features that everybody else can get.

Where did these prices come from? I thought pricing wasn't available in Canada yet?

I'm tempted to get an RS4, but not 100% convinced...

I read somewhere else about a guy walking into a lower mainland dealership (I think it was Richmond) and they had an RS4 in the dealership with a price tag of $104,000 or something similar.

That may not be 100% correct, however.

$96K is from one that is waiting for their RS4 here in Toronto from Agincourt, though the price could still change. Audi of Canada did communicate during the TOronto autoshow that the RS4 would come in under $100K, so it could even be $99,999.99.

$99,999.99 + freight / PDI, taxes, fees, etc

I think for $100,000 there are other cars I would rather have...and that's no disrespect to the RS4, just its pricepoint.

When I bought my B5 S4, the decision was very clear to me. The decision on the RS4 is not so clear. I'm looking for options. What other cars would you think about in the $100k price range?

With over 400hp, 4 dr, and can seat 5 comfortably, not many choices. But if price is no limit, then new M3(not yet available), M5, E55, new S6, C55(not over 400hp but quite close). But I still take the RS4 over them. :P
