Hey folks, I think my MAF has finally bit the dust.Does anybody in the area have an extra or is willing to lend me one for about 15 mins to make sure before i maake the $200 plunge to buy a new one?

When you were have this problem I assume your check engine was on? Was the gas gauge going down faster then normal I had my lite lean b1 , lean b2

I just bought my Red 2004 S4 4.2 the night I picked it up my check engine came on Since The 4 of July was on Wednesday I had to wait & have it checked today. I went to my favorite shop to have it checked Lean bank 1 & lean bank 2 He said possible vacuum leak OR MAF sensor & he was betting on MAF sensor He was saying that the computer compensate's by going richer. Makes sense to me!! I went about 40 miles today & since I was in regular traffic I went thru a 1/4 tank of gas & I was doing the speed limit! What are your thoughts on this ?? I am new here & know their are alot more experienced Audi Wizards out their that have maybe been their - dealt with that ! Can you give me some much needed guidance here as what to check I ordered a Beck & Arney Repair CD-DVD not sure when it will arrive! I also had to order a complete Owner's Manual set for the glove box! So at the moment I am hurting for info to help steer me in the right direction! Any body out their been in my same spot ???
