@ amkv28, here's a few pics of my '11 quartz/mustang for ya, arrived about a month ago. Couldn't be happier with it.

I should note that all pads should be broken-in - something almost no one does! StopTech has a good tutorial on this: Bedding-in pads. Just make sure that you don't come to a complete stop and don't hold the brakes on the rotors - they will be HOT! Give your wheels a quick touch after this, just to appreciate how much energy you're converting to heat when you brake.

Also, not all aftermarket pads create more dust. I have Wilwood brakes so I use their pads, but I have a couple of compounds that are great for the street, give much better braking than anything OEM, and create less dust than stock. The trade-off is they do squeal occasionally, but I stop caring once I slam on the brakes and lock up RE-01Rs in 30°C...my eyeballs almost come out of my head
Very good points - I should have stated that my comments were 'generally speaking'. I guess you're one of the unlucky ones to have constant squeal. It's a bit embarrassing when you roll up to another nice car and the driver looks at you, then at your wheels. You almost know what he's thinking...

I'd still prefer strong braking power to quiet brakes or to ones that don't generate much dust.

Thanks. Only thing so far I don't like are the flimsy wipers - they work fine, but if you treat your windscreen with any sort of hydrophobic compound like Rain-X or wax, the wipers chatter across it when used unless you buff the glass very heavily after application.

Thanks for posting your S4 pics, Chestlock.

I'm surprised no one has posted any comments about the Stasis S4 software upgrade. Has anyone installed this on their new car? Do you notice the difference in power. I've been informed by Audi that warranty will be void if you install the Stasis software. However, Statis will back it with their warranty.

Also, do you guys recommend the extended warranty?

Thanks.

Fairly certain that MTM backs their product similar to Stasis ... As far as extended warranty goes, I personally wouldnt bother until nearing 80k.

No prob. A few have installed the Stasis tune on Audizine. Search QW and AW too, I'm sure you'll find some. Look for SF_Loft on AZ - pretty sure he has it.

Up to you whether to get any sort of extended warranty. I personally do not ever buy them. Waste of money on something that may need no repairs what so ever in the future IMO. By the time the factory expires, you'll be able to tell if you have a solid "keeper" or should sell it due to problems. Also, read all the fine print on the offered warranties.

Take your time and research the different tuning companies. Lots of info on the other forums too. Look for APR and Stasis. AWE is still working on theirs too I believe.

Might want to avoid the MTM piggyback after reading this. It's a long one, but very interesting:

Official MTM Dyno Speculation Thread - Results Coming Tomorrow

Other than the above and a few other articles, I've yet to see any solid independant factual data for the performance of the MTM. A few others with it "swear" by their butt-dynos they feel it works, but until then....

Some Audi dealers will install Stasis tune for you, warranty coverage and period will remain unchanged. As well, you can buy the Stasis Signature modded vehicles from the same Audi dealers, again with complete warranty.

I just got delivery of my Audi 2011 S4 manual, premium plus, Sports Diff, Navig, 19"' wheels, B&O

I also had some noises with my brakes . Not major. Temperatures are in the 30-40's...

car rides great...although I need snow tires now.

the ride with the 19" performance tires is a little bumpy on the NY roads

I use the "comfort mode " on the Sports Diff to take the bumps/ potholes a little smoother.

I am getting Blizzards with winter rims this week.
