Default Gear Shift Issues On S5 Sportback

Dear Fellow Owners, I hope I can get some advise here as I'm new to the world of AUDI.

On my S5 Sportback, I have discovered something rather odd with the gear shift when I'm in manual mode. Upshifting is very smooth and slick but sometimes when I downshift, the gear (stick shift) shift produces some resistance and when I use a little more force it will produce a clunking sound when downshifting. I tried experimenting a little and realized that this happens all the time at LOW speed. For example, when I'm driving in 3rd gear at about 30km/hr and then tries to downshift when approaching a hump, the stick shift will produce the resistance and then "clunk" into 2nd gear. The stick shift feels a little "stuck" if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I can still move the stick shift down but it just feels like it needs to "click" in place whereas shifting up is just smooth. Does anyone with a S5 sportback face this?

Also, my right paddle shift makes a clicking noise whenever I nudge it. There is some free-play before it actually engages. It feels like its a little loose and not tightened properly.
