2004 S4 Coolant Leak
I took my 2004 S4 into the shop to have some maintenance done, and I had the technician locate the source of a coolant leak.
The problem was diagnosed as a failing o-ring located somewhere extremely hard to get at.
Apparently, the engine and transmission needs to be dropped to gain access to the location of the leak. 43 hours were quoted to perform the work.
If that would occur, aside from replacing the clutch assembly, what other work should I have them perform since this is a rare opportunity to gain access to anything else that could be replaced.
Thanks!

Re: 2004 S4 Coolant Leak
What's your mileage?
I would think your mechanic should check the timing chain and be ready to replace it and the guides, while he's in there. It's a $5,000 repair by itself.
While expensive, it may be worth it to check the pressure plate - I've read it can be weak on the S4/RS4 so while the transmission is accessible...
Water pump...

EDIT:
Sorry reread your post and just noticed you mentioned clutch assembly...
