Default 1993 s4 i5

Hey guys, I just got that car that I went to get in T.O.

I saw the trick to remove the speed limiter, tried it and tested it...it works!!!

Anyway, My question is for mechanics I guess.....I called 4-5 time in California at 034......the sure want to sell their producs!!

but this is old style mechanic and electronics, it is easier to modify it....so basicaly I am looking for tricks.......things I can do to this car whitout spending thousands on parts....and still make it go faster with the OEM componants!!!!

Thanks for the answers.....I am in south shore of Montreal......So if you know a good place around there to......beside VAG, RMR......let me know!!!

hey, i have a URS4 as well. its a 94 s4. I guess the simplest thing to do that isn't very expensive is to get a boost controller or stiffer wastegate spring and a stage 1 chip.

Well I spoke to few guys whoare suppose to know a lot about the I5.....and they told me that if I plug in a MBC (mechanical boost controller) it would apparently trigger the over boost signal in the ecu and default to limp mode(safety).....

So from what I heard, the only way to up-grade boost is the chipping.....my car already sometimes boost to 2,2......and tappered at 1,9 most of the time.

Anyway, I will see when I remove that fat exhaust line from underneath the car....besides taking 130lbs pounds of I will gain on flow !!!!!!!

Do you run a MBC on yours???? does it works fine????......did you absolutely had to chip to have the car to run fine with more boost???

i bought the car with the mbc installed already and it is chipped..but yes when u do any kind of boost tampering you should get your ecu chipped to match the kind of boost you are trying to get. The guy I bought my car from told me that the chip i have limits to 19lbs of boost. whenever my boost goes over, the fuel cut-off kicks in and then returns to normal operation after i let off the gas pedal and boost goes down.

So that is exactly what the guys told me...........thanks for the tip!!!!

I have an other approach to the probleme, there is a guy near my city that can apparently by-pass all of that, run 5 more injectors on the car, and manage to produce more than 300hp on stock components......

I am trying to find out how to tune and modify the car whithout buying all the expensive stuff 034efi are telling me to buy....more than 4000$$$$

I am setting my project with 2000$ to spend, on that there will be about 1000-1200 for a big turbo.....the rest goes to labor and other parts.........will see when time comes in the spring.

from what i hear..our engine is good up to 400 or so hp without any internal modification...dont hold me to that because i only remember reading it somewhere and i cant remember where i read it lol..but the AAN engine is pretty much bulletproof as well as the tranny. 034motorsport is pretty pricey but thats the only site i know with that much stuff for our cars. plus i like how they kind of put everything in a "kit" for you. they have chip kits for whatever turbo you want to use, which include the necessary MAP sensors wastegate spring and injectors...i think it is pretty convenient...but expensive lol.

Yeah....thats exactly what I was told by the guys at 034....500hp max crank....Whithout changing the cams or valve springs.....

I want, and I like the stuff they sell but, man it is out of price....plus shipping....it really sucks!!!! I found a distributor for their products here near Montreal.....I need to go see the guy and ask his opinion, when we spoke on the phone he told me he had better ways to get to the HP power I am looking for, whithout buying exclusively 034 expensive stuff......

more to fallow!!!!

I found today that I need 2 front shock/struts and the tables arms...the bushings are fu@#$
it's not to bad it will be about 500$ to fix all that.
