Sounds about right. I called around to 3 "local" dealers and was
quoted anywhere from $1,200 to $1,700 for the lot. I went ahead and
did it all myself with the help of a friend. Parts only cost plus a
gallon fo coolant ran about $400 altogether, plus $100 for the special
tools to hold the camshafts & crankshaft. It took roughly 5-6 hours
to get it all done.
Definately do the water pump, coolant, tensioner & dampers since they
are all completely accessable and shouldn't cost much more for the
minimal extra labor to do it. T-stat is right there, too.
