For Sale: HID Conversion Kit
Dear all,
I had large amount of HID conversion kit which made in Korea(7000K) and
China(6000K). All this included H1, H3, H4(Low beam only), H7...etc. Each
set only cost USD260.00. Anyone interested please e-mail to me

Most of these kits use the standard headlamp assemblies (reflectors &
lenses). Those were desinged around the position and characteristics
of the filament in a standard bulb. Putting and HID conversion in
shifts the focus and creates a lot of very bright glare that is not
really serving to illuminate the road, but rather to blind oncoming
drivers.
Real HID systems have lens masking to make sure the light is aimed
primarily at the ground in front of you and not the drivers. If you
have an opportunity get a friend with a factory HID system to park 20'
in front of a light colored wall and look at the patern the HID lenses
send out, compare it to a vehicle with standard bulbs/lenses.

I think that has more to do with DOT spec or E-code, not legal/illegal.
My 98.5 A4 came with DOT spec halogens w/ a H7 bulb. They lit the wall like
a flashlight.
Changed that mickey mouse setup to E-codes and the lighting pattern is way
different, it has a very distinct cut-off. Is that what you're referring to?
