radiator fan keep running

radiator fan keep running
1995 audi 90 sport, radiator fan keeps running after engine shut off.
keeps running until battery is dead, when hooking up jumper cables, fan
starts up again before engine in started. I am looking at something in the
thermostat area. any other ideas

Not the Thermostat.
Probably a sticking relay.

that's what it was. it was behind the dashboard where i couldn't get to
so i had to take it to an Audi repair place. Not to expensive. thanks
