I use Turtle Wax Colour Cure that is colour coded black, on my '96 S6.

I don't know about the easiest. But the best I've found is
Meguiar's No.7 Polish, followed by a couple coats of No.26 Yellow Wax.
Makes it shine like a showcar, especially black. I used the liquid
versions and paste versions of the wax. The liquid shines more, but
I don't know how well it protects the paint from stones, rocks, etc.
To protect paint in areas that get more abuse, like the hood (bonnet),
I add an extra coat or two of paste wax. I've used Mother's, and it's OK.
