Anyone have to use the Lemon Law for their Audi?
If my car is not fixed this 7th time at the dealer I am planning to
proceed with the Lemon Law in CA. Has anyone here had to use it? What
were the results?
Problem: My turbo has not produced any boost since the end of June. No
pick up.
-turbo replaced
-vacuum hoses
-MAF meter replaced
-pressure tested numerous time to read OK
- VAG shows 300mB less than the ECU is expecting to get on WOT (wide
open throttle)

I am in the UK can you explain,
does the Lemon Law mean you get hold of them by the Lemons and squeeze very
hard until they give in.

Bruce, I have just this evening posted the result of a long series of
workshop visits to fix a boost problem on a 1999 Saab 9-3, see
alt.autos.saab.
In my case, it was a collapsed catalytic converter that reduced exhaust
flow and limited max charge pressure to 0,6 bar. This particular car is
designed to charge to 1,0 bar at maximum. Hope this helps. /Robert

As a matter of fact I have. Living in The Netherlands which has similar
consumer law. In 1995 I bought a new audi Coupe which had a lot of problems.
After missing the car for weeks and a troublesome skiing trip, I returned
the car and had my lawyer undo the buying contract.
It was the first time in Holland someone used this law with a car -cars are
some sort of special product and considered not to comply to this law-.
The importer claimed later to have fixed the problem -which they already had
several times- and asked me to accept the car. I wanted the car and claimed
some 15% return on the price, which I got.
Ever since it's been a good car.
