AC Recharge 98 A6 2.8
What price range is reasonable for this service? It is only blowing warm air.
Thanks.

Re: AC Recharge 98 A6 2.8
OK, so it sounds like I need to have it diagnosed first. I have had the car
for 4.5 years and have not had a problem until now, so in the event that it
only has to be recharged and is not leaking, any idea on this? Thanks

Well, the gas has to have gone 'somewhere'. Yes, it's possible there is a
very slow leak and recharging will take care of it for some time, and costs
considered that might be a viable way to go. If you go that route keep a
close eye on the performance of the AC and if it loses the charge again,
this time find out what's actually causing that loss. Sorry, I don't have a
price range for you. Simple recharging shouldn't be very expensive though.
I'd look for a good independant Audi specialist rather than the dealer for
this kind of thing. They'll probably recommend looking for a leak when you
take it in. In my opinion that's not a bad idea.
Good luck,
Alan
