I wasn't trying to be funny. A car cover is a huge PITA. And it
causes paint damage if the car isn't 100% free of dirt.

I'd just keep it clean and waxed well, and skip the cover. Ask me how
I know about paint damage. And do you know how much money a good shop
wants for the respray of a relatively rare Italian car?
